New Barn Field Centre offers a wide range of educational & fun activities for Day Groups

Our Famous Living History Days!

Take a step back in time with one of our renowned ‘Living History’ Days.

Whether you wish to meet a ‘Celtic Chief’ in his round house or to learn how to march with a Roman Soldier, we have a day for you packed with hands on activities. We cover all the periods of the ‘Invaders & Settlers’, Neolithic through to the Dark Ages.

The ‘Stone age to the Celts’ is currently a popular session.

Let us know your theme and we will build a day for you.

‘Wilderness Day’ Has shelter building, Fire Lighting, Bushcraft, Wilderness Games, Problem Solving.

‘Back to Nature Day’ brings in nature walks, Pond Dipping, ‘Meet the Animals’, Mini Beasts, Nature Games, River Studies, and perhaps a picnic in the Wildflower Meadow.

‘Multi Activity Days’

Our varied multi activity days are designed not only to challenge the children but also to help them bond and work together.

The days are made up of a mix of activities to suit each individual groups requirements.

We are more than happy to build a bespoke day just for your group, this way we can ensure the day attains your learning objectives.

Lunches, either packed or fully catered in our restaurant can be provided by request, all diets are catered for . We have full disabled facilities and plenty of indoor space incase the weather gods are not on our side.

Prices; A minimum charge of 15 applies to all day groups.

Full Day; £14.95 per child ( plus vat ) 10am - 3.30pm ( flexible depending on your transport etc )

Half Day; AM, PM or Evening, circa 2.5 hours. £10.95 per child ( plus vat )
